Spiral Coven
Universal Eclectic Wicca coven. People who want to join should not have a problem with
UEW or its precepts. Experience has shown that I need to explicitly say that in order to
join this group you MUST agree with the Affirmation of Acknowledgment:
I: I acknowledge the presence of other faiths on my planet, indeed, right here
in my city/town/village. I acknowledge that the followers of these faiths feel
as strongly, maybe more so, than I do about mine.
II: I forgive the other faiths and wipe clean the slate between us. I cannot
hold a person responsible for the acts of their faith, I cannot hold a faith at
fault for individual practitioners. It is not my place to convert, or otherwise
alter a person's religion. I invite discussion of beliefs without judgment of
those holding them.
III: I acknowledge that I may be wrong, and I have found comfort in the fact
that I may be right.

There are two levels of membership in Star and Spiral Coven: Outer Court and Inner
Court. Anyone may come to an Outer Court event. In other words, you may informally
join by showing up at a Sabbat. We really appreciate a contact first by phone or by email,
but that's the essence of it. If the group is ever in danger of being too large we reserve the
right to close our doors to new members.
If you want to dedicate to the coven you may do so by joining Laughter Circle, the
teaching coven component of Star and Spiral, joining The Coven of the Far Flung Net, or
attending three coven events and declaring your desire to dedicate. Dedication lasts for
eight months. This makes the total time prior to full membership approximately one year.
You must complete the First Circle of UEW or its equivalent to become a full, or Inner
Court member. Equivalency may be obtained by reading All One Wicca (the tradition
textbook) and completing a written exam. This "grandfather" route is only available to
those people who avow that they have been practicing Pagans (preferably Wiccan) for at
least three years. Formal grandfathering proceedure is available here.
Once you have completed your First Circle study or equivalency you may then be
welcomed as a member of the Inner Court. Inner Court members will be responsible for
helping run the coven and will be able to attend all of the Esbat rituals.
